Put your roof in good hands with Trust Roofing

By Sheila G. Kelley, Development Coordinator

When looking at the Trust Roofing webpage, co-owner Eduardo Lopez makes a promise: “I always make sure that any job on your roof is done professionally with the highest quality for our customers’ satisfaction.”

“It means a lot when people let me put my hands on their roof because the roof is the protection of everything,” said Eduardo. “On a roof, if you have a leak, nothing on the inside is safe.”

Eduardo owns the business with his younger brother, Nicolas. They decided on the business name because “we want every single person to trust us.”

Eduardo grew up roofing with his father who started roofing in 1998. Until 2006, he worked as a subcontractor for a Wichita roofing company. Then in 2006, Eduardo joined his father’s crew and worked there until the end of 2015.

In 2016, the Lopez brothers applied and were granted licenses to have their own business, Trust Roofing which, at the moment, is currently housed in the basement of Eduardo’s home. They are in the process of building an office on an empty lot they purchased on 125 SE 14th Ct west of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakhouse.

“We are waiting on the city to approve our plans,” Eduardo explained. “Then we will start building.”

The brothers are proud of being a small business in Newton.

“To be small, you can really be detailed on a job,” Eduardo stated. “You can take your time to do it right. We’re not in a hurry, I always say we’re not in a hurry.”

Numerous testimonials are listed on their website, trustroofingllc.com, and tell of the customer’s experiences with Trust Roofing.

“From beginning to end, our experience was prompt and efficient,” said customer Samantha Kempf.

“Eduardo is conscientious and a pleasure to work with. He made sure that all expectations were communicated, noted and carried out,” said customer Clarence Rempel.

“That is the way we are,” said Eduardo. “That’s who we are.”

They are not afraid of tackling big projects and have had great success with those type jobs. However, they are just as hardworking on the small jobs.

“We do pretty much everything from the smallest to the biggest jobs we can handle,” he said. “Even if you only have a repair for $100, I’ll come do that repair.”

Trust Roofing is a family-run business. The brothers own the Newton-based business as well as do the physical work themselves. Their nephew, Marco, works in the office alongside Eduardo’s wife of 15 years, Ana Lopez.

Eduardo and Ana have three beautiful children: Stephanie, age 13; Yaretzy, age 11; Eduardo Jr. age 8 and they are expecting one more in the near future.

Nicolas and his wife, Nancy, have two children – Jonathan, age 9 and Dayana, age 10.

Eduardo counts on his extended family when he’s in need of extra help.

“If I need something, I’m pretty sure that if I call any of my cousins, they can be here,” Eduardo explained. “That’s what I love, we’re really attached. I’m raising my kids like that.”

Customer Micah Regnier sums up his experience with Trust Roofing: “The company name says it all – one you can truly TRUST.”
